EMILY WEY leverages over 30 years of experience in the specialized practice of health care transactional and reimbursement law, as well as 14 years serving as a commercial arbitrator and mediator, to provide knowledge- based and efficient dispute resolution for every segment of the health care industry, and all commercial disputes.

ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION EXPERIENCE
Emily is a commercial arbitrator specializing in health care payment disputes and is trained extensively in both arbitration and mediation fundamentals and complex case management. Emily is a panel member of both the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) and American Health Law Association (“AHLA”) dispute resolution services and is the past Chair of the governing Council of the American Health Law Dispute Resolution Service.

Prior to setting up her own alternative dispute entity, Wey West Dispute Resolution, Emily served as an arbitrator in multiple cases ranging from physician employment disputes to payment disputes between national health systems and national payers. As an independent neutral, Emily has continued serving as a neutral in these types of cases in the health care industry and has expanded her practice to serve as a neutral in consumer cases as well.

This broad base of industries and types of matters has led to her serving as a neutral in cases with amounts at issue ranging from several thousand to tens of millions of dollars. Emily currently is serving as an arbitrator in 16 complex commercial arbitrations as a AAA and AHLA neutral.
